Marble Cake
The quarantine is turning me into a cook and a baker apparently. Who would have known?! I baked a marble cake yesterday. It took me around 30min to do the preparation, and 30min of cooking. It’s the perfect coffee time cake. I love it, and also love the psychedelic finish of it! Here is the recipe, for 4 persons. Obviously you can adjust it to your taste.
Ingredients:
- 2 eggs (egg white)
- 60gr sugar
- 30gr melted butter
- 2 teaspoon of baking powder
- 96gr of flour
- 80gr of dark chocolate
- 2 tablespoon of milk
Method:
1- Whisk in the eggs a little at a time until fully incorporated, with the sugar
2- Add the melted butter a little at a time.
3- Add the flour and baking powder
4- Pour half of the batter in the buttered and floured loaf tin and spread out evenly
5- Melt the chocolate on a low heat
6- Add the melted chocolate to the left over batter, mix
7- Pour the chocolate batter on top of the previous batter layer in the tin
8- Quickly mix both batters from left to right (with a knife) to create the marble effect
9- Bake in the oven at 160° for 30min
Et voila!
